About Us

Pine Creek Sporting Club is an exclusive, members-only champion wing and clay shooting club nestled on acres of natural woodlands, quail fields, creeks, ponds and trails in Okeechobee, Florida.

Pine Creek Living

Number of Private Ranches: Twenty-Two Lot Sizes: 40+ acres.

Number of Private Cabins: Twenty-Three Cabin Size: 1,500-2,400 square feet under-air, custom built, lakeside.

Shooting Experience

World-class shooting sports include endless acres of quail fields for guided quail hunts, high tower pheasant shoots, 5-stand, sporting clay course, trap, rifle and pistol range. White tail deer, turkey and hog may be hunted on member's own land.

Location & Directions

The Club is located on Florida Highway 68 & U.S. 441, 20 miles west of the Orange Avenue (SR 68) I-95 exit in Fort Pierce. It is approximately 15 minutes to downtown Okeechobee, 30 minutes to Fort Pierce, less than an hour to Vero Beach and just over an hour from Palm Beach or Orlando. For those arriving by air, the Okeechobee airport has a 5000ft., paved runway and is a short 15-minute drive to Pine Creek. Additionally, a helicopter pad is conveniently located on-site. Members have exclusive charter use of Pine Creek's Bell 407 Helicopter.

Founding Members

The founding members of Pine Creek Sporting Club are Stephen Myers, Stephen Myers, Jr., golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Nick Price, former NFL hero Tucker Frederickson and Italian gun maker Tullio Fabbri. The founding members have club privileges and have been asked to serve on an advisory committee to the Club.

Membership

Each ranch or cabin purchase includes a membership. A membership consists of a husband and a wife and their parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren. An unmarried member may designate a "significant other" once annually. Membership fees include guided hunts, all shooting sports, access to family amenities and social events

The Membership Committee includes Stephen Myers, Stephen Myers, Jr., Tucker Frederickson, John Reynolds, and Tim Williams.

Developers

Pine Creek Sporting Club LLC, whose principal owners are Stephen E. Myers and Stephen Myers Jr., are the sole developer of Pine Creek Sporting Club. Myers Sr., a pioneer in the cable television industry, is an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He is the owner of the world famous Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge located in Northern British Columbia. He is a substantial landowner in Florida and wanted to create an exclusive sporting club for the privileged and discerning outdoorsmen that share the same passion for the outdoors.

Shooting and Hunting

Sporting Clay Course: The Club shooting professional, Steve Middleditch, has designed two World Class Sporting Clay Courses with targets for all levels of shooters.

Simulated Pheasant and Grouse Shooting: High tower clay targets simulate driven pheasants. Grouse shooting is simulated by three driven targets from a Promatic Huntsman Machine.

5-Stand: Covered, state-of-the-art facility with varied combinations from eight Promatic machines, equipped with a shot pattern plate.

Trap: Trap field for regulation trap and games like Annie Oakley.

Rifle & Pistol Range: Covered range includes a number of challenging reactive-steel targets, with rifle range distances of 200 yards.

Bird Aviary: 1,020 sq. ft. with two additional 100-yard open-air flyways.

Dog Kennel: 3,000 sq. ft. facility with thirty-six pens.

Other Amenities

Member's Lodge: The lodge is approximately 7,000 sq. ft. under-air facility with a wrap-around porch, indoor and outdoor dining, Nicklaus Signature putting green, bar, gun locker room, pro-shop, library/quiet room, three grand fireplaces, card tables and billiards. There are four well-appointed guest suites for members and their overnight guests on the second floor.

Fitness Center and Pool: The pool, fitness center and nature center are centrally located next to the members lodge. Designed by Marc-Michaels Interior Design, the setting and facility are incomparable to any other. An outdoor kitchen/barbeque pavilion, outdoor dining and fire pit make a perfect setting for parties.

Treehouse: Designed and built by local artist, George Ivey, using Seminole Indian techniques, the tree house includes a full wet bar and dining upstairs, thirty feet above the ground in the Live Oak hammocks. The tree house is perfect private dining receptions.

Children's Activities: There are a variety of fun and adventurous activities for children, including kayaking, fishing, bike riding, horseback riding, swimming, zip line, rope swing, multipurpose field (soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball, kickball, frisbee), garden and picking grove, chicken coop, table tennis, horseshoes, bocce, buggy rides, tire-swings, playground, pro-beach volleyball, as well as shooting instructions and demonstrations.

Horse Stables: Approximately 7,000 square feet with ten stalls, green paddocks and diverse trail riding paths.

Fishing: Lake Okeechobee (15 miles south) is the largest fresh water lake in Florida, which offers the best Large Mouth Bass, Crappie (Speckled Perch) fishing from November to March, and Bream and Catfish fishing from March to July. Fishing trips can be arranged through the concierge service. Deep Sea fishing and boat charters can be arranged through concierge as well.
