Garden in Bloom

WOW, what a year! There are so many new faces around PC with the marketing and sales that are going on, the completion and staffing of the Lodge, special events and guest that have come to visit us. I wanted to personally say THANK YOU to everyone for bearing with our growth over the last four months. PLEASE do not ever hesitate to let me know if there is anything the staff or I can do to better your visit.

The quote of the Season for me came from Charlie Schumacher while out to visit PC for an overnight on his Twelfth Birthday. The morning started early when I picked Chuck and Charlie up at 6 am to go Turkey Hunting. Someone….. (b-day boy!) fell sound asleep until the birds started to Gobble and then landed 100 yards away. All were at full attention as the two gobbling Toms came right to the decoys. Then, with two shots…… both Father and Son connected to get a double ( See picture below ). A few hours later we were all at the lodge talking with Bill about the hunt. The subject changed to Charlie’s three week old Lab that Bill is raising. Bill invited the b-day boy over to play with his puppy and with that, Charlie said “I shot a Turkey today and now I’m going to see my Puppy... I don’t need ANYTHING else in LIFE!”... What wouldn’t we ALL give to be Twelve AGAIN!

This Turkey Season is a prime example of us leasing a close Ranch for our members to be able to utilize for different activities. It went over incredibly well and I think it’s the tip of the iceberg for the near future. Duck, Bass, Axis Deer, Water Skiing, access to an Alligator Farm and a Wildlife rehabilitation refuge are just a few of the local attractions that we have to offer.

Now, at the end of our second season, I would appreciate any feedback or comments that you would be willing to share with me. More importantly, what could we do or didn’t we do that would improve your time with us?

THANKS AGAIN and all THE BEST!

  Garden in Bloom

The Pine Creek Garden has been a great success, so much, that we will be expanding it this summer. Our fall crop produced beautiful collard greens, broccoli, snow peas, fava beans and lettuces. Chef Christian has begun planting for the summer season. We are anticipating beautiful tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, herbs and much more. Join Chef Christian for a trip to the garden followed by a cooking class featuring your harvests.

Please contact Alex Tijerina at reservations@pinecreeksportingclub.com for more information or to schedule your cooking adventure today.
