The Cabins at Pine Creek are ready to tour! We have two cabin
models complete with interior furnishings by Marc-Michaels Interior Designs. Phase I of The Cabins is nearly sold out, so we encourage those who are interested in Cabin ownership to come visit and
see the finished product.

On January 22nd, Pine Creek was proud to host a fund raising event
to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. I’d like to give a special thanks to our members for their generosity and
support of this event. Please read about details of the event in the
article below.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Haitian people and their families. One of our affiliated companies, Smart City, has been helping facilitate communications for Haitians and their loved ones by setting up call centers and communication hubs.

Regards,

Stephen Myers, Jr.

Pine Creek Celebrates Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary

Pine Creek Sporting Club hosted the 12th Annual Boy Scouts of America Sporting Clays Tournament and 100 Year Anniversary Celebration on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. More than 180 shooters were registered for the event at a cost of $2,000 per foursome. All proceeds went to the Youth Programs of the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America, supporting more than 24,000 Scouts across seven counties in Southeast Florida. The Sporting Clays Tournament included an 8:30 AM breakfast, 10:00 AM shotgun start, 12:30-2:00 PM lunch and live auction, and 2:00-4:00 PM buggy tours of Pine Creek Sporting Club.

“Having an opportunity to host an event for Boy Scouts of America is a great honor,” said Pine Creek Sporting Club Founder Stephen Myers Jr. “This is an organization that has been making a difference in the lives of young people for 100 years.”

A successful kickoff event, The Sportsman’s Grand Jamboree Cocktail Auction, was held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Palm Beach Motor Cars in West Palm Beach. The Centennial Honorary Chairmen & Committee for both events include: William Koch, Oxbow, Inc.; The Honorable Lois Frankel; Palm Beach Councilman, William Diamond; and the Event Chairman is Mark Simpson of Palm Beach Motor Cars. Special thanks goes out to all sponsors, including RBC Bank, Cheney Brothers, Wells Fargo, Florida Crystal, and many more.

Meet the Staff – Rob Lawson

Rob Lawson is a do it all kind of guy; at Pine Creek he is a Hunting Guide, Equipment Operator and helps with Member Services. Rob’s versatility is certainly valuable and we are lucky to have him. Having been raised in the Southeast he is experienced in all areas of sporting activities offered at Pine Creek, and his professional history in project management lends itself to skills in customer service and team building.

Before working with the Pine Creek team, Rob worked for seven years as a super attendant on construction projects throughout the Southeast. Rob attended Rollins College for his undergraduate studies and is currently taking night courses at Indian River State University to attain a degree in Civil Engineering.
