"G&G Sponsors Pine Creek Sporting Club's Hunting Season Kick-Off"

Safari Club International’s (SCI) Palm Beach chapter held a sporting clay shoot at Pine Creek Sporting Club hosted by Steve Myers, Steve Myers, Jr. and several members on December 13th. There were forty shooters, sixty guests total, who supported the event. Everyone enjoyed the shooting event and a barbeque lunch provided by Cheney Brothers, Inc. A small auction to fund Safari Club and the Safari Club Foundation included exhibitors: DuPont/Kregoff and Zula Nyala. “The day was a tremendous success, and the support from members at Pine Creek Sporting Club and SCI is greatly appreciated,” said Jo Hanley. Jo Hanley, whom many Pine Creek members know as a shooting instructor, is president of the SCI Palm Beach chapter.

Bill Thacker is the head dog trainer at Pine Creek. He and his nephew, Franklin Thacker, manage the dog kennels and thirty-six hunting dogs, including Labradors, Setters and Pointers. Bill began his career, in 1992, as an apprentice to professional dog trainers in South Carolina. He has been living in Florida and training dogs for over seventeen years. Bill is accomplished at breeding world-class hunting dogs, and has done an impressive job designing the dog kennels for Pine Creek. Bill studied Business Management and Real Estate at the University of Kentucky where his daughter, Kourtney, currently attends.
